Hi I'm Yasmeen!
I love photography. It allows me to combine elements of so many things I spend every day deeply in awe of. Besides photography, I am a certified Master Gardener working on my BS in Botany. Plants are obviously one of my favorite subjects to shoot.
A little personal history: after 25+ years as a Costume Designer/Fashion Stylist for Film, TV, advertising and editorial, I was so inspired by working with such notables as Albert Watson, Mark Seliger, David LaChapelle, and Gérard Rancinan, that I decided to continue honing my creativity though photography.
I have 10+ years experience as a photographer, but I'm evolving every day still. I worked for nearly two years full time as a product photographer.
Living in Joshua Tree has brought me into a new era of landscapes, plants, documenting the seasons with which we are so closely tied to in the High Desert and of course, the skies.
I am currently doing a photo series with some of my favorite and most inspiring Joshua Tree locals. I also am a Getty Images Contributor.
I'm available in Los Angeles, Joshua Tree and all of the High Desert, Palm Springs and all low desert, Bay Area, Redding and any/everywhere in between to capture your precious people, moments and places.
